Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: August 2026
Â
Welcome to Mental-health4u. These Terms & Conditions explain how our services are provided and outline what you can expect from us, as well as what we ask of our clients. By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Â
1. Our Services
Mental-health4u provides evidence-based therapy and psychological assessments for:
-
Adults
-
Children and young people
Appointments are available both in person and online, depending on the service being provided and individual circumstances.
Â
2. Booking Appointments
Appointments can be requested via our website, email or telephone.
All appointments are subject to availability and are only confirmed once you have received confirmation from Mental-health4u.
Â
3. Fees and Payment
Fees for therapy and assessments are available on our website or can be provided on request.
Payment is required before or at the time of your appointment unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing.
Failure to make payment may result in appointments being cancelled or postponed.
*Pay what you can afford. This is to help individuals and families who find themselves in circumstances that mean they cannot afford to pay the full price of Assessments and Therapy sessions . This is based on individual circumstances and unfortunately is not something Mental-Health4U can provide to all individuals and families. Individuals and families that are able to pay Plan A prices allow Plan B to be a possibility for those in need. Plan B continues to be a discretionary service offered by Mental-Health4U.Â
Â
4. Cancellations and Missed Appointments
If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full appointment fee.
Missed appointments ("Did Not Attend" appointments) are non-refundable.
Exceptional circumstances will always be considered at our discretion.
Â
5. Therapy
Therapy is a collaborative process. Whilst we will always aim to provide the highest standard of care, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, as progress varies from person to person.
Clients are encouraged to attend sessions regularly and actively participate in therapy.
Â
6. Assessments
Assessment services are designed to gather information and provide professional opinions based on the information available at the time of assessment.
Recommendations are made using current evidence and professional judgement.
Assessment reports remain the intellectual property of Mental-health4u unless otherwise agreed.
Â
7. Children and Young People
For clients under the age of 18, consent from a person with parental responsibility will usually be required before therapy or assessment can begin.
Where appropriate, we will work collaboratively with both the young person and their parent or carer whilst respecting the young person's right to privacy and confidentiality.
Â
8. Confidentiality
Everything discussed within therapy is treated confidentially.
However, confidentiality may need to be broken if:
-
There is concern that you or another person is at immediate risk of serious harm.
-
There are safeguarding concerns involving a child or vulnerable adult.
-
We are required to disclose information by law or a court order.
-
Professional consultation or clinical supervision is required to ensure safe and effective practice (your personal information will be anonymised wherever possible).
Where appropriate, we will always aim to discuss this with you first.
Â
9. Online Sessions
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have:
-
A reliable internet connection.
-
A private and confidential space.
-
A suitable device capable of accessing online appointments.
Mental-health4u cannot accept responsibility for technical issues beyond our control.
Â
